Terms & Conditions
These terms govern your use of masterbookpublishing.com and describe the general basis on which Master Book Publishing provides its services. Individual projects are governed by a separate signed agreement, which takes precedence over anything on this page.
Using this website
You may browse and use this site for lawful purposes. You may not attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of it, interfere with its operation, or use automated systems to scrape or overload it.
Enquiries and quotations
Prices shown on this site are indicative starting points, not offers. Final pricing depends on scope, manuscript length, genre and timeline, and is confirmed in a written proposal. A project begins only once a proposal is accepted in writing and any agreed deposit is received.
Intellectual property in your work
You retain full ownership of your manuscript, your concepts and the finished work. On full payment, all rights in deliverables we produce for you — including ghostwritten text, cover artwork and interior layouts — transfer to you. We claim no royalty interest in your book. We may reference the finished, published title in our portfolio unless you ask us in writing not to.
Intellectual property in this website
The design, text, artwork and code of this website are owned by Master Book Publishing and may not be copied or reused without permission.
Your responsibilities
- You confirm that material you supply is your own or that you have the right to use it.
- You are responsible for factual accuracy in non-fiction and memoir work, and for any third-party permissions your book requires.
- Timely feedback at agreed review points is needed to keep a project on schedule.
Revisions, delays and cancellation
Each service includes a defined number of revision rounds, set out in your proposal. Work outside the agreed scope is quoted separately. If a project is cancelled, fees for work already completed remain payable and any unearned balance is refunded. Schedules assume agreed feedback turnaround; delays in review may move delivery dates.
Payment
Payment terms, instalment schedules and deposit amounts are set out in your proposal. Payment plans are available on request. Work may pause on overdue balances.
No guarantee of sales
We provide professional publishing, editorial, design and marketing services. We do not guarantee sales volumes, revenue, bestseller status, awards, reviews or acceptance by any particular retailer, and no statement on this website should be read as such a guarantee. Distribution availability depends on the policies of third-party retailers.
Confidentiality
We treat your work and your identity as confidential. Ghostwriting engagements are covered by non-disclosure agreements as standard.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from any engagement is limited to the fees you have paid for the service in question. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profits or lost sales.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, and the courts of Santa Clara County, California have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
